The medical review your weight loss medication should come with

Expert monitoring for GLP-1 and GIP medications

Mounjaro, Wegovy and Foundayo are powerful medicines. Used well, with the right monitoring and support, they can transform your health. Used without clinical input, they carry real risks: loss of muscle, loss of bone density, nutritional deficiencies and side effects that go unchecked. Our GLP-1 Health Check Up has been designed by GPs to give you the medical oversight that online prescribing often leaves out, so you can lose weight safely and keep the results.

What’s included in the GLP-1 Monitoring Blood Panel?

A blood panel built specifically around the things that matter when you are on a GLP-1 or GIP medication: nutrition, muscle, bone, liver, kidneys, pancreas, thyroid and metabolic health.

What we test

Total cholesterol in the blood, providing a broad overview of lipid balance and cardiovascular health risk.

A type of fat in the bloodstream; high levels are linked to increased risk of heart disease and metabolic disorders.

Often called “bad cholesterol”, LDL can build up in artery walls and increase the risk of heart disease.

Known as “good cholesterol”, HDL helps remove excess cholesterol from the bloodstream and protect cardiovascular health.

Represents all cholesterol particles that contribute to plaque build-up in arteries and cardiovascular disease risk.

Compares total cholesterol with protective HDL levels to give a clearer picture of overall cardiovascular risk.

A sensitive marker of inflammation associated with cardiovascular disease risk and systemic inflammatory processes.

How the GLP-1 Health Check Up works

Thorough, personal and practical. Our goal is to make sure your medication is working for you, that your body is being protected while you lose weight, and that you have a clear plan for what comes next.

health check process

A 30 minute consultation with a GP experienced in GLP-1 and GIP prescribing. We review your full medical history, how your medication was started, your current dose and how you have tolerated titration, side effects, eating patterns, protein intake, activity levels and your goals. The consultation includes a physical examination with blood pressure, heart rate and a check of anything you are concerned about.

A comprehensive panel of blood tests taken during your appointment and processed through a UKAS accredited laboratory, covering nutrition, muscle and bone markers, liver, kidney, pancreas and thyroid function, and your metabolic and cardiovascular health. Additional tests can be added on the day if your clinician recommends them.

DEXA is the gold standard for measuring exactly what your weight loss is made of. We measure your lean muscle mass, fat mass, visceral fat and bone mineral density so we know whether you are losing fat or losing muscle and bone. This gives you a baseline to protect and a benchmark to repeat. [Confirm: on-site at which clinic, or partner facility in Moorgate as per Longevity Performance, and whether it is on the same day as the consultation.]

During your check up you will be have the option to add on additional blood tests, hormone tests, sexual health screening, cardiac screening, metabolic health tests or any appropriate scans & imaging. These will be chargeable as extra and payable on the day of your appointment.

When your results are ready you will be invited to a virtual or in-person follow-up with your clinician. We go through your bloods and DEXA results together, advise on your current dose and whether titrating up, holding or stepping down is right for you, and set out a plan for nutrition, strength training and ongoing monitoring. You will receive a full written medical summary. If you would like us to take over your prescribing, or to support you as you come off medication, we will explain your options.

Ongoing support, whichever direction you are heading

The GLP-1 Health Check Up is a starting point. Depending on your results and your goals, your clinician can help you move onto one of three pathways.

“I had the chance to complete a Health Screen with One5 Health and the experience could not have been better. They are very thorough and provide a very tailored experience including follow-up sessions. They are also were very quick in providing the test results. I must thank them as they managed to change my dietary and exercise habits and I am feeling much better now. I would 100% recommend them.”
“Highly recommend! I did the Well Man health checkup and went back for another blood test after some raised levels in those results. Results were quick, the doctor was very pleasant and informative, and the whole process was seamless. Something everyone should do. Also worth checking with your health insurance as it may already be covered.”
“Absolutely fantastic experience. I hadn't seen a GP for 4 years so I felt a healthcare MOT now that I have reached 60 was really important. The doctor was wonderful. She gave me all the time I needed and gave me lifestyle ideas I hope will really help me. Wonderful.”
“Highly recommend. Good value for money. Found it informative and gave some reassurance to my health queries. Very friendly and listened to any concerns. The checkup including blood test is pretty thorough and I would recommend it. Today I went with no concerns with my health, I feel good and am in much better physical shape than my visit 12 months ago. Money worth spending. Cars go for a MOT yearly, why not get ourselves checked too?”
“Very practical and worthwhile health check. I had a Well Man Plus check and was extremely impressed by the doctor who was pragmatic sensible and very practical in her advice. Far superior to similar tests I've had with other providers in the past. Highly recommended.”
